Marketing Development Manager, Re manufactured Products Division
Our client is the world’s largest manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, and industrial gas turbines. The client's Re manufacturing Services offers integrated solutions for re manufacturing development and operations, core management and distribution. Re manufacturing is a viable alternative for any type of product made up of standard interchangeable parts for which replacement parts can be easily manufactured, built or obtained. This group continues to expand its sales and operations. Significant focus is underway to develop incremental sales opportunities in India. Additional marketing staff was added in order to work with Marketing Subsidiaries to achieve these growth objectives.
The position - Marketing Development Manager, Re manufactured Products Division - manages a work unit of primarily management/ professional employees where monitoring and reviewing work of subordinates is required as well as training, developing and mentoring. The position is responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of subordinates.
The candidate must have the following skills/essentials:
Bachelors in Engineering
6 – 10 years of work experience
Direct Product Sales experience (involved with the marketing of engines or construction machinery preferred). This marketing should be actual product sales and not market literature development.
Progressive experience in product design or product launch, particularly new product introductions.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.
Willingness to travel, the position is required to travel frequently; up to a full week a month.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Scope and Responsibilities of the role:
The position often confronts complex issues or problems that require careful analysis and diagnosis. Problems are often unique and solutions can require original approaches.
The incumbent may modify existing approaches or develop new solutions.
The incumbent sets priorities and establishes a work plan in order to complete broadly defined assignments and achieve desired results.
The position requires thorough knowledge of company products, product applications or merchandising programs.
An understanding of mechanized claims processing, service data systems and/ or dealer operations may be required.
The position typically requires university degree or equivalent experience. In addition, nine to twelve years of progressively responsible job-related experience are typically required.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.
Develop and manage the commercial and marketing programs for Re manufactured Products Division in India.
Ensure the continued growth of the Re manufactured Products business through market and dealer development
Responsible for developing and executing the marketing growth initiatives in India, working closely with all marketing companies and dealers worldwide.
Evaluate Reman parts sales and margin trends with worldwide marketing organizations to identify growth opportunities in India. Develop product and marketing strategies for capitalizing on opportunities and maximizing business results.
Influence Reman product design, cost, sourcing, pricing and inventory decisions. Influence worldwide product unit machine designs and marketing strategies relative to Reman. Provide them with regular communication regarding Reman product and marketing activities.
Establish overall Reman NPI and marketing program goals, targets and priorities for group. Assist staff to develop individual goals and work plans that support group, division, department and corporate goals.
Ensure adequate quantity and quality of marketing resources (staff, funding) are available to achieve goals.
Evaluate results of Reman marketing activities.
Evaluate and improve staff motivation and performance. Provide career development guidance and support.
Create and monitor annual business plan for the Reman Marketing group worldwide.
Work directly with Marketing Subsidiaries and Legal Services Division to remove Global Re manufactured Products Trade Impediments.
