A Technical Architect drives the translation and construction of a client's complex business problems into innovative technology solutions within a multidisciplinary environment. Architect owns the technical vision of the project; ensuring that the vision is achieved with a high level of quality.
Utilizes their knowledge of and experience with Business solution and deployment architectures, applies their understanding of the limits of the tools being used and discusses the trade off in the design phase vs. implementation. Recommends appropriate architecture based on client's business problem and drivers. Explains the trade off involved in designing a solution to the client and the team.
Utilizes their deep understanding of Object-Orientated design principles in creating custom software solutions or modifying package solutions. Leverages their experience with component and service based design, translates the impact of design on scalability, Performance, etc. into the project.
Translates the client's business requirements into systems design. Challenges business design when appropriate, Offers creative alternatives regarding business design.
Resolves complex technical issues. Provides mentoring on best practices and processes, Ensures quality based on experience, balances the considerations of what it takes to deploy an application -- processes, procedures, organization, performance, etc. Works
with the client on their tracks (planning, integration points, and milestones)
Works with the client's IT organization to establish technology strategy at an application level. Evaluates the current technical infrastructure and provides insights.
Partners with the project manager and client to establish scope management process, actively manages scope at the project level.
Ability to research and recommend technical Architecture for business application solutions
Must be able to present ones self well and comfortably in front of customers
Work with teams of varying sizes.
Candidate Profile:
This role requires an extremely hands-on person with deep .NET technical skills who can dive into code, identify and fix problems, conduct detailed code reviews, guide the .NET developers on programming practices and act as the Subject Matter Expert for all issues pertaining to .NET programming and development. Must possess extensive working knowledge of enterprise architecture best practices
including logical and physical data architectures,
Strong Skills within Microsoft Development Tool Set (C#, .Net Framework, VB.Net, ASP.Net, XML, SQL 2000/2005, IIS)
