Managing the group IT resources in the following areas:
MPLS and VPN, LAN & other networks.
Firewalls and Security Management.
Establishment and Management of Infrastructure needs of a large organization and identification of appropriate technologies and solutions to meet these requirements locally and internationally.
Manage Support for Telecoms, Hardware & Networks installations through in house vendors.
This role requires supervising the team to deliver the services as per stipulated SLAs.
Manage implementation of strategic projects in the area of Windows Architecture/MPLS/Security.
Manage a team of IT engineers.
Train users in the effective use of the I.T facilities.
Establishment of quality standards and support processes in relevant areas of work.
Requirements:
Education: Candidate should possess a BE(Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent.
Experience: 8-10 year(s) experience in telecoms and technology development or support in a large multi-location organization.
At least 2-3 year(s) as a senior manager in related functional areas.
Experience in managing complex support activities.
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong knowledge on Network technologies like routing, switching, security, firewall, load balancers, proxy servers etc.
Understanding of more than one of the following technology Infrastructure disciplines, e.g. Network Administration, Systems/network Integration, Problem and Change Management, Production Support.
Highly conversant with current telecoms technologies in Voice & Data.
Excellent Communication skills (both written and verbal).
Knowledge of Active Directory Windows 2003 and Microsoft Exchange 2007 Server preferred.
Preferably Managers specializing in IT/Computer - Network/System/Database Admin or equivalent.
